Why does my mac keep freezing?
Recently my iBook G4 started to freeze. And what I "meen by" freezing everything is nonoperational. The mouse, keyboard, and OSX are frozen. If something is loading, and the spinning wheel, it will not stop spinning stand still. And then when I turn it off and restart is it on a blue screen and not boot freeze. Here's the catch, but if I leave it plugged in and for different amounts of time, the time it does not freeze also varies depending on the time it was plugged in when it freezes and I restart it after the same, it will stick to blue screen. But when I sit them down and the whole loading process Night I can use it for about 20 minutes before it will freeze. What the hell?
Here are some suggestions. Go to Finder – Applications – Utilities – Activity monitored. Read terminate the processes that go on when it anyting from the ordinary process. Also try – Applications – Utilities – Disk Utility. Select your hard drive, and select First Aid – check permissions. Wait until fiinshed, shouldn't take too long. Then click on Disk Permissions click Repair, and wait until finished. You should do this once a week to keep your Mac smooth. Now reboot and see if it's better. Hope it works!
