Clamshell iBook?
I'm considering buying a 366 MHz iBook Indigo as a collector's piece, but I would also like to use it it for the rest of the funtional life. So my question is, what is the best operating system they set up I would have atleast OS 10 (I to the hardrive and memory to 256 as upgrade plan). But what Mac OS X is best for this model? 10.0 or 10.2 or 10.3 (I think it's a bit of press)
I can understand the "Collectors Item" Feeling, I like the clamshell iBooks random … very well built machines. You can run Panther (10.3), but you have to XPostFacto run on Tiger (10.4). However, noted that it is quite slow. I run 10.3 on a G3 Lombard Powerbook (333MHz) w / 256 MB RAM and it handles well Panther, but Tiger is quite slow. I would RAM max as far as possible (see EveryMac.com for full specs) and the hard drive with at least a 20GB or higher.
