Attempting to sell three old computers. I need help pricing them.?
Apple ibook G4 2003
Macbook 2007
Macbook 2009
All of which have scratches on them, nothing too horrible though. I’m also planning on installing Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Microsoft Office on each of them to possibly raise the value. How much can I sell each for?
Sell them on ebay.
A machine from 2003 is basically scrap. Don’t expect much for it…maybe $100 if you’re lucky.
The 2007 machine may do a little better. $200-300.
The 2009 machine will obviously do best at around $500.
These are pretty optimistic prices. Old computer just don’t have much value.
As for the software, unless you can provide a valid license and documentation for each machine, it won’t add to the value. The value of old software is based on how much discount it can save you on a new version. If it saves you $200, then you might get $100 from a person planning on upgrading.
