ibook g4 has gone to sleep and wont wake up?
I was watching a dvd, left the room for about 30min- and hour leaving it running. I know, stupid!… The laptop went to sleep and now it wont wake up!… I checked the battery at the back (the little measuring button, and it flashes instead of going up 4 little lights to say that its fully charged.) Took the battery out, put it back in again… now it wont turn on! Help!
it has been plugged in all night, was fully charged before I left the room
(1) Battery is dead, like completely tanked. So you can try pulling it out, plugging in the power and then seeing if you can run it that way. Or just sticking in the battery, but also plugging it in, and then trying to power it up.
(2) Hard Drive is dead. Hard drives die. It is not a matter of if, it is a matter of when. They will always die eventually. So if that’s the case then you need to replace it (have it replaced). You need to go to an Apple Store or an Apple Certified Service Center and get it checked/diagnosed and then repaired. To find one in your area visit,
