Help! I can’t set up my router w/ Mac ibook G4.?

First you have to connect your router to the iBook using the ethernet cable provided and plug the router in to a power outlet. Then you open Safari and for the address you type in http://192.168.1.1 and hit return. The Linksys setup page should open up and ask for a password. There is no name, just type in admin for a password. After that you will have to go through and set up various windows and set a new password. Hopefully this will help you get it set up. You have to think of the router as a computer and you have to talk to it through that address. After you get it set up you attach the router to your modem and go into System Prefs and set up the internet connection through your Airport card. Tell it to look for a local network.
