Need inexpensive but very reliable laptop for Linux OS (Ubuntu, perhaps?).?
My iBook has crashed on me, and I think It can migrate to a good opportunity to get a PC laptop and Ubuntu or other Linux operating system. I need recommendations on what to buy laptop. I want a good value and yet very reliable machine. My iBook had a GB of memory and about 20 gigs of space, so I would not go below that. As far as software, the resource-intensive Software I use audio recording and editing software I use to produce podcasts for my work. Other than that, OpenOffice, and a web browser, I do not know much. I would buy you some advice on what. My budget is tight. I am not granted this community, I LOVE YOU guys!
